How to be successful as a sailor

Sports and athleticism have always been part of who I am as a person. No matter the sport whether it be curling or weightlifting requires immense dedication in conjunction with talent and ability.

Sailing and windsurfing are no different. Up to this point in my life, I have put in well over 15,000 hours on the water, and do not plan on stopping any time soon. My training schedule from now until the Olympics will be 3 days of sailing with 1 day of rest. I will do this almost every single week for every week leading into the Olympics.

Success not only comes from individual dedication, but working together with a team of people equally dedicated. Training with my fellow Americans, and competitors from other countries is one of the best ways I can improve my sailing, ensuring I will achieve my goals.
