Preparing for the World Championship

The World Championship is the biggest, and most competitive regatta this year on the IQFoil schedule. Whoever wins the event is given the title “World Champion”, and it serves as a proving ground for all the sailors to showcase their skills and see who prevails. It will be my first senior world championship, and I could not be more excited to head to Brest, France in October.

This September has been a busy one for me, with my time being consumed primarily by school, sailing, and the gym. While I enjoy my curriculum in school, I am super excited to graduate with my degree in Microbiology this December, and sail full time for all of 2023 / 2024.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that lie ahead, but also happy to spend some time at home with family before things really kick off in 2023. Here is my schedule for the foreseeable future.

  • IQ World Championship, Brest France, 10/16 - 10/22

  • North American Championship, Clearwater Florida, 11/5 – 11/6

  • USOSS Miami, Miami Florida, 1/20 – 1/23

  • USOSS Clearwater, Clearwater Florida, 2/4 – 2/6

  • IQ Games Puerto Sherry, Cadiz Spain, 3/7 – 3/12

  • Spanish Olympic Week, Palma De Mallorca Spain, 3/31 – 4/8

  • IQ European Championship, Greece, 5/8 – 5/14

  • IQ World Championships, Scheveneginen Netherlands, 8/10 – 8/20

  • IQ Games Lake Garda, Torbole Italy, 9/20 – 9/25

Thank you so much to everybody who has helped me get this far. Words can not describe my level of gratitude, as none of this would be possible without the support you all have given me.

All the best
