The End of an Era

On December 10th, 2022, I graduated with my degree in Microbiology with a minor in Infection Control. Now begins a new chapter in my life as a professional, full-time athlete

November and December have been some of the busiest months of my entire life. Between finishing up with school, and attending the US Sailing Team camps in Miami, it has been a whirlwind of amazing events.

November was filled with great moments. From windy days on the IQ, to glassed days on the pump foil, I took every chance I got to get out on the water in-between assignments and studying for my exams. In December, all the buildup created by school was relieved the day I took my final exam, and before I even had time to reflect on my time at my university, I was driving down to Miami to begin my next chapter as a full time sailor.

Aside from driving home for my graduation ceremony, it has been full on in Miami. The days have been long, but filled with amazing content from experts such as Robert Scheidt, as well as some high quality training thanks to the organization and efforts put in by US Sailing. The team is improving rapidly, and we will only continue to improve.

Coming up next are the Miami / Clearwater OCRs which will serve as our qualifier for the Pan American Games, The 2023 Worlds, and the 2023 Olympic Test event. I am excited for the opportunity I have to try and win this selection and plan to give it everything I have.

Thank you to everybody who has helped support my journey. You have given me the chance to live out my dream of being one of the best sailors in the world. Words cant begin to express my gratitude for all the experiences I have been lucky enough to have and will have in the coming months.

All the best
